There are three stages of GTFS Application Process Flow:-
                    First Stage (Technical)
1. APPLICATION (PROJECT PROPOSAL) FORM GTFS 2010 - Supporting documents for company background & technical Assessment (i. Form 9, 24 & 49.  ii. Investment Grade Audit-IGA, CDM report, SREP report or equivalent project assessment report. Technical assessment by GTM Technical Evaluation Team (due diligence audit).

MALAYSIA terdedah kepada risiko jika terus bergantung kepada bahan api fosil, berikutan itu kerajaan menyalurkan bekalan elektrik dari Projek Hidro Elektrik Bakun ke Semenanjung yang turut membabitkan pemasangan kabel dasar laut bernilai RM10 bilion.

Menteri Tenaga, Teknologi Hijau dan Air, Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui, berkata ketika ini kebergantungan terhadap bahan api fosil mencapai lebih 90 peratus daripada keperluan elektrik di Semenanjung.

To promote green technology, the government will establish a fund amounting to RM1.5 billion. This fund will provide soft loans to companies that supply and utilise green technology. For suppliers, the maximum financing is RM50 million and for consumer companies RM10 million.

The PTM Green Energy Office Building recognised in short :- GEO Building is an administration-cum-research office for Pusat Tenaga Malaysia (Malaysia Energy Centre), following the success of the Low Energy Office (LEO Building) which hosted the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) in Putrajaya,.

The setting up of this initial financial assistance programme for RE project is especially to support the financial requirement of Full Scale Model Biomass Power Project (FSM) that will be established under the BioGen implementation programme. This REBF is expected to act as a successful model in financing Renewable Energy Project in Malaysia in order to give better perspective to other developers and financial institutions towards developing and financing the same mechanism of RE project in the country.

Pelancaran Program ini adalah merupakan antara usaha-usaha Kerajaan untuk menggalak dan meningkatkan penggunaan sumber Tenaga Yang Boleh Diperbaharui di dalam penjanaan elektrik.
